Hydroxycut Sprinkles Reviews

Targeting the Sensa crowd, Hydroxycut is expanding its market to include Hydroxycut Sprinkles.

Portable, convenient, and easy-to-use, these sprinkles will supposedly help you burn more fat, even when you’re on the go. Rather than having to choke down another pill, Hydroxycut Sprinkles can be sprinkled onto your meals without altering the taste of your food.

But can weight loss really be this easy?

I decided to take a closer look at this new formula to see if Hydroxycut Sprinkles are strong enough to work.

What’s Inside The Packet?

Ever since the ephedra ban back in 2009, Hydroxycut products have been reformulated for safety. Instead of using ephedra, most of the products in the Hydroxycut line use caffeine or a combination of lady’s mantle, wild olive, cumin, and wild mint to promote weight loss (or a proprietary blend of both).

Hydroxycut Sprinkles are stimulant free, so the 155 mg formula contains the following:

Lady’s Mantle Extract. Lady’s mantle is an antiduretic and anti-inflammatory herb popularly used to stimulate healing, making it an effective solution for injuries and ulcers. [1]

Wild Olive Leaf Extract. Olive contains fatty acids which may decrease cholesterol and reduce inflammation. Animal studies suggests it reverses chronic inflammation and oxidative stress that induces cardiovascular disease. [2]

Komijin Extract. More commonly known as cumin or cuminum, komijin is primarily known as a digestive aid. Many take cumin to treat diarrhea, colic, bowel spasms, and gas. It stimulates the secretion of digestive enzymes in the stomach, which in turn improves overall digestion. Animal studies imply cuminum may enhance memory and combat stress. [3]

Wild Mint Extract. Wild mint is a flavorful and aromatic herb commonly used to relieve coughs, colds, stomach cramps, indigestion, and headaches. Wild mint contains several flavonoids which boost immunity and protect cells against damage. [4]

Are the Ingredients Researched?

As you can see, these ingredients are clinically proven to boost immunity and improve overall health. Individually, lady’s mantle, wild olive leaf, komijin, and wild mint have almost no effect on metabolism or fat burning.

So why are these ingredients so common in Hydroxycut products?

Because they’ve very effective when used together.

In one study conducted by the Antaki Center for Herbal Medicine, the effects of Weighlevel (a combination the four ingredients) were observed on both animal studies and in human trials.

In the animal study, mice were given a prepared extract of the four plants. According to published results, “significant antioxidants properties were seen at very low concentrations of Weighlevel.” The results were so promising that the researchers then measured the effects on chickens, observing “progressive and significant weight loss” after 4 weeks.

In the human trials, 80 volunteers with an average body mass index (BMI) of 30.67 were given either Weighlevel or a placebo. The participants were asked to continue their usual diet but only eat three meals daily, and take 1 Weighlevel tablet 30 minutes before each meal.

After 3 months, no side effects were reported and, like the animal studies, “a progressive and significant weight loss was seen in these subjects during the whole study period.” [5]

This study is pretty impressive considering the ingredients work synergistically to promote weight loss. However, dieters should note that Weighlevel is not Hydroxycut.

Although the same ingredients are used, the ingredient concentrations may vary. Since Hydroxycut sprinkles are listed as a 155 mg proprietary blend, we don’t know if it will produce the same fat burning results that occurred during the study.

Hydroxycut products that depend on these ingredients often come with mixed reviews. Some users love their results, and others don’t experience any weight loss at all. Additionally, since Hydroxycut Sprinkles are at a much lower dose than the typical Pro Clinical formula, I can’t predict whether they’ll actually work based on this study.

The formula is still too new to depend on consumer reviews for answers, so if you’ve used Hydroxycut Sprinkles please share your experience.

Should You Be Worried About Side Effects?

Hydroxycut Sprinkles only contains 4 ingredients for weight loss, and they’re all considered safe to use and may in fact improve your overall health and immune system.

Dieters should be aware that while small amounts of Komijin may treat diarrhea and nausea, high dosages may actually cause diarrhea or nausea. But, Hydroxycut Sprinkles are in 155 mg packets, which presumably supply a small, safe dosage.

As far as I can tell, there are no known side effects from taking Hydroxycut Sprinkles.

How Does Hydroxycut Sprinkles Compare to Sensa?

Though both formulas come in convenient packets that can be sprinkled on food, Hydroxycut Sprinkles and Sensa are completely different products with completely different weight loss mechanisms.

Hydroxycut Sprinkles contain a small blend of metabolism-boosting ingredients to help you burn more fat. Sensa, on the other hand, contains ingredients that regulate appetite to trick you into feeling full and help you eat less.

Both brands are extremely popular among dieters looking to lose weight fast, and both formulas are appealing due to their portability.

A one-month supply of Sensa is more expensive than a one-month supply of Hydroxycut Sprinkles, so I wouldn’t be surprised if more consumers turn to the sprinkles to save money.

The Taste

Hydroxycut Sprinkles is designed to sprinkle easily onto your food without altering the taste or the flavor. However, I won’t know if these claims are true until I see real consumer reviews rather than paid Hydroxycut testimonials.

Recommended Usage

The biggest advantage Hydroxycut Sprinkles has to offer is its portability. It comes in convenient small-sized packets that you can take with you on the go. All you have to do is shake one packet on to your food and eat up. To get the best results, take 1 packet three times daily with your main meals and avoid snacking between meals or after dinner.

It’s also important to stay hydrated while taking Hydroxycut Sprinkles, so aim for 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.

Hydroxycut Sprinkles cannot compensate for poor lifestyle choices. To maximize your weight loss, you’ll need to follow a healthy diet and exercise program.

Product Pricing

Hydroxycut Sprinkles is still fairly new, so it’s not as widely available as other Hydroxycut products. Currently, you can purchase Hydroxycut Sprinkles for $24.99 per 1 month supply (this price does not include shipping and handling.)

Is There a Guarantee?

There is no money-back guarantee available at Hydroxycut.com. If you’re lucky, Hydroxycut Sprinkles will eventually be made available through second-party distributors that back all of their products.

More About the Manufacturers

Hydroxycut is a brand name marketed by Iovate Health Sciences, a well-known company based in Canada. The company is also known for popular brand names such as Cell-Tech, Mass-Tech, Myoshock, and Nitro-Tech supplements.

While the Hydroxycut product line is one of the best-selling in the industry, Iovate Health Sciences has had a negative history with the FDA and FTC.

In 2009, the FDA issued a recall for Hydroxycut products due to cases of liver damage, serious health problems, and even death. Although the product line has since been reformulated for safety, many dieters are still concerned about the potential risk for negative side effects.

Additionally, in 2010, the FTC charged Iovate Health Sciences with deceptive advertising and false claims relating to one of its other products, Acellis. Iovated was forced to issue $5.5 million in refunds to consumers who purchased Acccelis, nanoSlim, and any Cold MD, Germ MD, and Allergy MD product. While these products don’t affect Hydroxycut Sprinkles’ ability to perform, it does cast a shadow of doubt on the manufacturers’ reliability.

Despite its legal problems, Iovate Health Sciences received a B rating on an A+ to F scale at the Better Business Bureau.

Only 4 complaints had been filed against the company in the last 3 years, and each of these complaints received an adequate, professional response.

With thousands of dieters using Hydroxycut products every day, this positive rating is pretty impressive to say the least.

Final Thoughts

Hydroxycut Sprinkles seem a bit gimmicky to me. Portable packets that you sprinkle on your food to lose weight? It’s an eye-catching idea but I can’t help but be skeptical.

The ingredients, though backed with research, are in fairly small concentrations. I’m not entirely sure Hydroxycut Sprinkles is strong enough to give reliable weight loss results.

But just because I’m skeptical doesn’t mean it won’t work. I think I’ll wait for more consumer reviews before passing final judgment on this new formula.

I’ve been taking it a few days, and I’ve noticed I’ve had a bit more energy than usual. I am not sprinkling it on my food though…the smell and taste are horrible. I’d much rather have the pills or gummies. Right now I’m opening the packet in a little cup, and pouring a tiny bit of Coke over it to swallow it down all at once. Only way I can take the taste. I’ve been pretty consistent on doing this with every meal, and I’m hopeful that weight loss will ensue soon! I am pleased with the overall energy boost…it’s not the crazy stimulant type, just similar to the feeling I get from B-vitamins. Hope this helps.

Although it alters the taste of the food significantly, it definitely decreases your appetite throughout the day. I only take one packet a day (the taste is awful) in black coffee, but it decreases my need to snack. Sometimes I even have trouble eating the full 1200 a day. I’ve used this product in combination with exercising at least 3 times a week and eating correctly and I’ve lost 8 lbs over about 3 weeks. Hope this helps someone!

I have been using the sprinkles on the food, which has been mostly salads, cut out pasta bread and cookies, and have lost about 5 pounds been taking it about two weeks. The taste took some getting used to.

I just started hydroxycut sprinkles. They smell alfull and taste bad. I tried to mix it in my food to cover up the taste, I could still taste it.So for I have not lost any weight. I have used this product for about 3 weeks now.

Bought the product at Wal-Mart less than advertised price. Product has a slight odor but no aftertaste in foods such as soup or my fruit smoothies but my salad was tough getting through so I put it in hot coco and drank that before my salad meal. It appears to suppress the appetite. I am on day two and I have no cravings. I am using a balanced diet with exercise for this 90 days. I don’t have any side affects such as sleeplessness or jitters. My advice is to use only on foods that can hide the taste. A bagel or salad where the product would just lay on the food will give you the aftertaste. If you can do that, I feel the product may live up to its claims.

I havent been using long enough to rate how well it works but im extremely disappointed by the fact that i sprinkled it on my bagel and it tasted like i put ceyenne pepper on it!!!!! I think its a rip off but i could not get past that tasteso i wouldnt really know. It wasnt just a taste like it burned my whole throat and nose and it stayed like that for like 15-20 mins. Terrible! Id rather take some pills, and the gummies seem like a ripoff too. Hydroxycut…fail.
