What is ColonFit?
ColonFit is a natural fiber supplement developed by Brenda Watson, a friendly middle-aged Clinical Nurse Consultant and co-founder of the ReNew Life company.
On the official site, Brenda claims this formula has the following benefits in store:
- “Natural cleansing formula supports bowel health”
- “Promotes bowel contractions”
- “With prebiotics to nourish good bacteria in the colon”
That’s quoted from the website. Right off the bat, there are few issues with these claims:
- The term they’re looking for is “PRObiotics” not “pre”.
- Bacteria responsible for digestion is not found in the colon but in the small intestine. The colon is only for holding feces and absorbing water from fecal matter.
ColonFit Ingredients
Okay, so moving past the fact that Brenda hasn’t been brushing up on her physiology or spelling lately, here’s what’s actually in the product:
- Magnesium hydroxide – 200 mg
- Aloe vera powder – 200 mg
- Alder buckthorn powder – 150 mg
- Acacia fiber – 100mg
- Okra powder – 50 mg
- Triphala – 50 mg
This formula amounts to a total of 150 mg of actual fiber plus 550 mg of laxatives (magnesium and alder buckthorn) and digestive aids (aloe). Triphala actually contains a blend of herbs that is known to stimulate appetite.
Does ColonFit have a Satisfaction Guarantee?
The company explains that you may return and obtain a refund for an unopened product within 60 days but does not mention that you can get a refund if you aren’t satisfied with the results.

Most places sell this for about the same price, though directly through the company it comes with at least some kind of return policy. We’ve found it for as cheaply as $14.75 per bottle.
ColonFit Conclusion
Generally this product is very mild – mild formula, mild price and likely very mild results. Despite being some kind of nurse, Brenda isn’t all that convincing with the inaccurate descriptions of what these ingredients actually can do. With regular use it should certainly make you more “regular” but not any more than another, even cheaper laxative.
